Yoga is the backbone of our retreats, and we promote a particular version of yoga which is called Satyam Yoga.
Satyam Yoga is a holistic and complete proposal of a spiritual experience seeing our physical body as an entrance to the emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.
Satyam Yoga System
Satyam Yoga has multiple branches and they are all going to be shared in Satyam Yoga activity.
On the one hand there is the Satyam Yoga System;
Physical work with ‘Asanas’: Body posture correction. We work with Asthanga series and Hatha postures, looking for the detail, alignment and precision of the Yengar to align the body, with our breath as a guide and source of balance.
The work is intense but we arrive progressively, with great awareness and respect for the body. During the guided sessions the teacher will move around so each assistant can be corrected and understand the purpose of the asana.
Multiple branches
On the other hand, Satyam Yoga also includes the following less-known techniques:
- Breathing techniques such as Pranayamas
- The reading and study of the Sacred Scriptures
- Singing and listening to Mantras as a tool to raise and change our vibration
- The practice and experience of Meditation as a channel to your inner guide
Morning ritual
These activities will be incorporated into the daily programme, starting with morning meditation. This may incorporate reading of sacred scriptures, singing mantras as a group and practicing Pranayamas (breathing techniques), followed by a yoga class.
You will find that incorporating this routine into your days will make you feel energetic, to start the day invigorated and ready to take on the world.
To stimulate you to carry on this practice after you return to your daily life, we prepare a booklet for each participant with the scriptures, the mantras, and the yoga positions we use during these morning rituals, as well as empty space for your personal reflections. This is for you to take home and use whenever you may need it.
